Practicing object pronouns

Se practicó cómo reemplazar personas y cosas por pronombres de objeto y cómo hablar de cantidades. Se trabajaron frases cortas, preguntas y correcciones para ganar confianza al conversar.

Resumen

In this lesson you practiced replacing nouns with object pronouns, using verbs that take two objects, and worked on quantifiers (some/any, much/many, enough, most). The tutor corrected sentence forms and pronunciation while you made sentences and answered questions to build confidence.

Object pronouns with two objects

  • Practiced replacing direct and indirect objects: I gave it to him.
  • Corrected word order and pronoun placement in two-object sentences.
  • Used examples: show the ticket to your mother → show it to her.

Quantifiers and determiners

  • Practiced some/any in questions and negatives: Can I have some water?
  • Distinguished much/many and too much/too many with nouns and countability.
  • Used enough and most in sentences: studied enough to pass; most people use phones.

Pronunciation and small corrections

  • Worked on pronouncing common words: crowded, neighbor, borrowed/lent.
  • Tutor corrected singular/plural forms: everyone (singular), most people (plural).

Para recordar

Quantifiers

Use many with countable plural nouns and much with uncountable nouns; use enough for sufficiency, too for excess, and most with plural or uncountable nouns. Ejemplos

  • There are too many people in this room.
  • Most information online is useful.
Object pronouns

Object pronouns replace people or things receiving an action, including after prepositions: me, you, him, her, it, us, and them. Ejemplos

  • I gave it to him.
  • Please show it to her.
Indefinite pronouns

Indefinite pronouns refer to people, things, or places generally; singular forms such as everyone and no one take singular verbs. Ejemplos

  • Everyone was tired after the trip.
  • We went nowhere last weekend.
Apuntes de la clase en español

Correcciones, pronunciación y práctica preparadas a partir de esta clase. No las escribió tu profesora.

Patrones y correcciones

  • «I gave it to him»: it reemplaza la cosa y him a la persona después de to. El chat conserva esta frase.
  • «Show the ticket to your mother» → «Show it to her»: mantener el orden cosa + to + persona cuando se usa it.
  • «Can I have some water?»: some es natural en un pedido; no todas las preguntas necesitan any.
  • Many acompaña plurales contables; much, sustantivos incontables. «There are too many people in this room» expresa exceso.
  • «Most people use their phones every day»: people y phones son plurales. «They invited most of us» refiere a parte de un grupo específico.
  • «Most information online is useful»: information es incontable y lleva is. No se dice informations.
  • «I’m trying to finish…»: am + trying para una acción en curso; después, to + verbo base. La frase larga original y su corrección permanecen en insights.
  • Everyone lleva verbo singular. Preply muestra «Everyone was tired after the trip».
