Forgetting items and arriving late
- Practiced describing forgetting passport and credit card using past perfect
- Corrected sentences like 'I had forget' to 'I had forgotten'
- Recounted arriving at stations and trains already leaving
Practicing past tenses
In this lesson you practiced choosing and using past simple, past perfect and present perfect in short narratives. The focus was on recounting events (arrivals, forgetting items, parties) and correcting tense mistakes to improve clarity.
The past perfect tense is formed with 'had' plus the past participle of the verb and is used to express an action completed before another past event. Ejemplos

I had forget → I had forgotten: después de had, participio. Ejemplo archivado: I had forgotten my passport.I asked your name again, I made a note y so I don't forget it again (apóstrofo y mayúsculas normalizados aquí; el chat original permanece intacto).I spent 2 euros on a coke because I was thirsty: spend … on … para explicar un gasto. I kept 3 euros for the bus es la versión editorial con plural; la fuente dice 3 euro.I thought Michael would arrive y was going to arrive: expectativas vistas desde el pasado; ampliación opcional. They had already left because they needed to go to work: una acción anterior a otra en el pasado. The trip took eight hours. La frase alternativa del chat the plane was 8 hours long se conserva como evidencia, pero no se enseña como modelo.Vocabulario reutilizable: credit card, coworker, different, delicious, make a note, thirsty.
