Reading and producing short past-tense sentences
- Practiced many short sentences describing actions (walked, sailed, jumped).
- Worked on word order and adding correct prepositions in context.
Practicing past forms
In this lesson you practiced past tense verbs, phrasal movement phrases, and short story sentences. The tutor guided corrections for irregular past forms and word order while you read and produced many example sentences aloud.
Use had + past participle for an action completed before another past action or time. Ejemplos
Use have/has + past participle for past experiences or actions connected to the present; use since with a starting point. Ejemplos
In past simple questions, use did + subject + base-form verb. Ejemplos

Practicaste la lectura y producción oral de frases cortas sobre acciones pasadas y desplazamientos. Los insights registran ejemplos como “Yesterday, I bought a new notebook”, “The children came out of the library quickly” y “The helicopter flew over the city for ten minutes”. Son ejemplos de clase, no hechos personales confirmados.
Alianna escribió formas irregulares en el chat: fly–flew–flown, wake–woke–woken, know–knew–known, begin–began–begun, go–went–gone, break–broke–broken, fall–fell–fallen, swim–swam–swum, wear–wore–worn y ring–rang–rung.
Propuesta de repaso, no tarea asignada por la tutora: decir dos acciones pasadas cortas con bought y woke up; después practicar “Did you see Ben yesterday?” y responder “Yes, I did” o “No, I didn’t”.

He knew the answer because he had read the book. A more casual way to say it is, “He already knew the answer because he’d read the book.”
Used “knew” after the past perfect auxiliary “had,” and placed the earlier reading in the past perfect for clarity.
Dijiste
...My grandparents always goes shopping on foot.
Una alternativa
My grandparents always go shopping on foot. A more casual way to say it is, “My grandparents always walk to the shops.”
Changed “goes” to “go” to agree with the plural subject. “Walk to the shops” is a more natural everyday expression.
Dijiste
...By the time we arrived, the film has begun.
Una alternativa
By the time we arrived, the film had begun. A more casual way to say it is, “The film had already started by the time we got there.”
Changed “has begun” to “had begun” because the film started before another event in the past. “Started” and “got there” are common conversational choices.
Dijiste
...She has never fly before.
Una alternativa
She has never flown before. A more casual way to say it is, “She’s never been on a plane before.”
Used the past participle “flown” after “has.” The alternative expresses the same idea in a common conversational way.
